Yandina State School

With 250 students, Yandina State School is one of the smallest schools on the Sunshine Coast.  Our school prides itself in delivering personalised education with staff having the time to know and nurture our students.
Our School Priorities are Reading, Differentiation and Attendance.
Yandina State School was recognised as one of the 50 most improved schools in NAPLAN testing in 2014 by the Australian Curriculum & Reporting Authority.  We offer differentiated Australian Curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular offerings:
  • Gifted and talented and leadership programs.
  • A recognised school-wide positive behaviour system.
  • Celebratory activities - Under 8's, Book Week, Fun Runs, Reading Challenge, School Discos.
  • Accredited International Student Study Tour Schools.
  • Harmony Rainforest Regeneration Project.
  • Music: instrumental music, guitar lessons and choirs.
  • Wide-ranging embedded ICT opportunities including: ABC Reading Eggs; Mathletics; 1-1 laptop program in Prep; classroom access to smart boards; iPads; virtual classrooms and Ed-studios; lunchtime computer club.
