Yandina State School Sparklers consists of 3 successful and high achieving dance troupes. At Yandina we believe every student should have the opportunity to Sparkle! We provide quality tuition for all students interested in performing on the stage. Every year students perform at a range of eisteddfods and events and develop skills in stage performance, teamwork, dance theory, and movement.
Yandina Sparklers was a school initiative that began in 2020 with under 20 students and has grown in 2022 to nearly 80 performers. Most of our students do not attend dance lessons outside of school and we are proud to provide this opportunity for all interested students and families. Our teams train three times a week, and we currently have 3 dance troupes each performing a musical theatre and jazz routine.
We have had an incredibly successful year with a cabinet full of trophies and awards from competitions and performance events. This September we are heading to the National Finals where we will compete against performance teams from all over the country.
We currently run lessons 3 times a week in Jazz and Musical Theatre for students in Year 1 - Year 6. Our dance teacher, Miss Allison is an accredited R.A.D (Royal Academy of Dance) teacher specialising in Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary and Acrobatic Arts. She choreographs all our amazing routines and is passionate about sharing dance with her students.

A fee is charged for tuition, costume hire fee and eisteddfod entries at the beginning of the year. We keep this cost to a minimum and have payment plan options available for families.
