Enrolment process

Enrolling your child at Yandina State School is a simple process and one that allows you to become familiar with the school and provides an opportunity for the school to learn about your child/ren before they start.

General enrolment process
1. Catchment area

Please check that  External linkyour house is in our catchment area before proceeding with the enrolment process.

If you live outside the catchment, contact the school office for more information. You can apply for exemption by writing to the Principal or by completing an enrolment-catchment-exemption (PDF, 255KB).

2. School tour
All families wishing to enrol are required to attend a school tour and interview with our Principal Michael Cookman.

To book your tour, please follow this link and complete the survey

Alternatively, please contact our office on (07) 5472 9333 or email admin@yandinass.eq.edu.au.

3. Documents for enrolment
Enrolment forms are available from our office or the link below.  Please complete one set of forms for each child, and return to the office with original birth certificate for sighting.

Due to our Enrolment Management Plan proof of residency is required, please see list of documents required for proof of residency.

N.B. We need to sight an original document of proof of birth - We do not retain a copy of this.

Please note that enrolment forms cannot be accepted unless all relevant paperwork and documents i.e. proof of residency and proof of birth etc. are presented.

4. Start date
Your child's start date will be negotiated with you at the time of your interview.

We look forward to our partnership and trust that this is the start of a long and happy relationship with Yandina State School.
