Physical activity is encouraged all year round at Yandina State School, helping students grow in confidence through perseverance, resilience, teamwork and leadership, as well as providing opportunities for celebrating success and dealing with disappointment. We want our students to display strength of character, optimism and to be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. These qualities, often on display on the sporting field, are also the cornerstone of everyday life.
Students are encouraged to participate in as many sports as possible and are expected to show ongoing commitment to the Yandina State School Motto “I am respectful, I am safe, I am a Learner” in all school sporting activities. Students must display these core values in their daily actions on the sporting field and all areas of school life if they are to retain their place in our sporting programs.
