Welcome to Yandina State School.
Yandina State School is a growing school of approximately 350 students located on School Road, Yandina. The school prides itself on over 135 years of education and community involvement.
Our school motto ‘Together we Grow’ is underpinned by our three values - Family, Friendship, Future.
We are a school that promotes Reading and we are enacting the Australian Curriculum. Our staff are highly skilled, experienced and dedicated to making a positive difference to the students' academic learning, physical and emotional wellbeing and social emotional growth.
Yandina State School creates a safe, supportive school environment through the application of the school wide positive behaviour program based on our school rules 'I am safe', 'I am respectful' and 'I am a learner'.
Yandina State School is part of the North Coast Region and is a co-educational facility catering for students from Prep Year to Year 6. Class organisation comprises mainly of single-age (straight) year levels and a small number of composite classrooms. In 2023 students are allocated across 15 classes.
The school offers a full range of specialist teachers for Physical Education, Music, Instrumental Music and LOTE (Japanese). Yandina State School offers a wide range of extra-curricular programs including: surfing, dance, choir, skateboarding, soccer, robotics and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths).
