On Saturday 4th November, a small number of our Sparks Team competed in the First Lego League (FLL) Challenge at Suncoast Christian College.
The team of 6 had been preparing in lunch times, after school and one Sunday to get an innovation project and robot design ready for the competition. The day started with smiles, a dropped folder, a great judging session, success at the table and finished with a bit of dancing and smiles!
The competition has a big push on displaying Core Values, which are Teamwork, Inclusion, Impact, Fun, Discovery and Innovation. Our team had great feedback in our scoring for Core Values, Innovation Project and Robot Design. We were very excited to be awarded the Core Values Award. This was awwarded for displaying all Core Values throughout the competition.
When being awarded this, there was a powem read:
"The Sparks ignite in this vivid maze infusing passion in robot craze, core values guide, in every stride. A mission to create, to help and provide."
Well done Sparks! You made coaching a great experience and we all had a great day.
