Yandina State School Sparklers currently consists of 3 dance teams with students ranging in age from Year 1 - 6. We practice and perform a variety of dance genres including jazz, musical theatre and lyrical. Teams meet once a week to practice. During the year our teams will perform at a range of eisteddfods and events and develop skills in stage performance, teamwork, dance theory, and movement.
Like any team, commitment is essential for the success of the team and individual improvement. Lessons will be once a week every Tuesday (Seniors), Wednesday (Juniors) and Thursday (Minis). There may be additional rehearsals as we get closer to eisteddfods.
Participation in the program will be $225. This covers all dance team costs for 2024.
If you would like your child to be a part of this program, please complete the online survey before Sunday 11th February. Returning of this nomination form online does NOT guarantee your child a position on the team. Teams will be confirmed following our Week 4 trials. Families that complete a nomination form before the closure date will receive an email with Week 4 trial information on Monday 12th February.
